| Sir/Madam
I appreciate this site you have put up to enable us to log iin and find out news which creates agood atmosphere for people to understand humanity. First and foremost I would like to know why our President Chandrika is always uttering false words like an old Granny who doesnt have a single statemanship at all. I am sorry to utter these words but she should remember what she offered during her time to the Tamils and LTTE atleast an Interim Governtment. Why cant the people turn this loathing president to where they should belong by voting them out. Tks

Frustration in the peaceprocess.the LTTE was never realy interested in peace. Their peace webside only contains war messages, and is used as a propaganda tool to promote the next war.
M. Decosta |

Nobody believes in peace with LTTE Karuna speaks about war. "The prospect of a war is very strong not only among our people but also among our leadership, all should train thoroughly and be prepared to face the war that would definitely take place. If we can maintain this period of 'ceasefire' for another three months we could be good fighters. We are definite that there would be a war and we must train ourselves thoroughly to face it" said Karuna, the Eastern Province leader of the tiger terrorist organization and he was from the LTTE peace delegation, what a SHAME.

The government's has not analyzed LTTE's strategy. The LTTE sets itself a definite goal, makes demands, keeping the threat of war. Throughout this and the last three peace processes, LTTE has not offered any constructive proposals, but rejected the government's proposals and demanding impossible concessions. The LTTE knows the constitution and still asks for concessions, knowing they cannot be met. They playing the President against the PM. The President would seize any chance in keeping the UNF stifled, on the grounds of safeguarding national security. But the international community is not blind of LTTE's gambling. The GOSL is in their favour.

Oh hate monger George, SHUT UP! I know someone from www.forumhub.com who is like you. Posting hate filled messages etc.. PLEASE BE QUIET AND KEEP YOUR GRIPES TO YOURSELF! TAMILS WAKE UP, do you want a LTTE controlled IA in NE, that more crimes can take place? "TULF leader asked to resign on the instigation of the LTTE. The body of Arumugam found in well, father of two children has been murdered by the LTTE. Death body found after being subjected to torture. The LTTE is responsible for the murder. Two dead bodies on the shores of Mandaitivu killed in Vanni by LTTE. The LTTE killed Kalirajah TELO Member of the Batticaloa Municipal Council. The government makes proposals the tigers reject. The goverment makes new proposals, the tigers reject again. This game will go on until the tigers say, that with the goverment no negotiations are possible, so the only way to meet the aspirations of the tamilpeople is by war. This fact was clear to Prabakaran already at the beginning of the negotiations, but at that time the LTTE was not ready for a new war, the peaceprocess has given them time to train, and recruit 10'000s of new cadres and they are willing to send them into the battlefield. The LTTE is fooling YOU.

Problems in repaying the funds. If Sri Lanka wants to be one country, then the whole country will have to do so, but [the] Sri Lankan Government may have to work out a method by which the LTTE would be responsible for an appropriate and proportionate debt-payment share if they are to get a slice of the aid for them to spend. The Tigers will just take the money spend some for developpment of its fighting force and very little for the use of the people. Finaly the Srilankan Government has to pay back the debts. Srilanka finances the rebellwar.
Gnanam |
 |
The LTTE knows what it has to do. Renounce terrorism and work towards a negotiated political settlement. Have you seen such moves during the peace process? The PM should stop the negotiations on its part, go to Japan, instead of getting financial aid, get defence aid, because the next eelam war is already in prepararation. First defeat the terrorists, and then build up Srilanka. By getting money now, and start developpement, and then the outbreak of the war, will just be a waste. Therefore militarily the Government has to be strengthened, like the tigers did during the ceasefire.

Congratulations! Sri Lanka (all citizens) have been able to keep up the cease-fire for 1.5 years. Imagine how many lives have been saved! How many children still have their parents, How many sisters still smile at their brothers, how many wives welcome their husbands! Be proud to have succeeded so far! Such a beautiful country deserves inhabitants which honor eachother for their individual qualities! Such able humans will definitly prosper if concentrating on creating and not destroying! My best wishes from Zurich, the city of highest life quality, in Switzerland, the country with 4 official languages!

The South and the GOSL, by their disunity, are yet to prove to LTTE and the N&E Tamils that they are capable of solving the ethnic problem politically. This will make Tamils and the International community to believe in a possible political solution and furthering talks for finanacial support. No amount of threats and bluff to LTTE and Tamils will bring overseas financial support

Hon. PM stop all negotiations, ban the tigers and start the war before the war comes to you. Here the facts: The LTTE has succeeded in stopping the train service to Batticaloa and also in collecting sleepers for constructing bunkers. The LTTE's Sea Tiger's office in Talaimannar was closed down suddenly. LTTE: "The North-South Peace Sports Festival would be meaningless without an agreement to permit displaced persons to resettle in the High Security Zones." The recruitment of children has been intensified in the Vanni area. Around 400 children were collected. Pottu Amman had secret discussions with some undergraduates of the Jaffna-University. |

Despite all the efforts sources close to the LTTE in the Wanni said the Tigers might eventually stay out because in addition to the dispute over the interim administration they fear the resolution might be introduced calling on them to renounce violence and start decommissioning their weapons. That is the point, the donor nations want a warrant, that the money spend would not end up in the war treasury of the LTTE, or the projects financed would not destroyed again because of outbreak of the war. But it is clear, that the LTTE still favours a military solution to the conflict |

| Aturaliye Ratana Thera of Jathika Sangha Sammelanaya (JSS) said during a press interview on 4-6-2003 " we have to seek the support of all three forces to stall them". Does GEORGE and SL President realise as to why LTTE should keep its arms ? Is no one able to teach Non Violence to Buddhist priests who have gone astray from Dhamma.

The President said the LTTE should lay down arms and renounce their demand for a separate Eelam if an interim administration is to be granted. This is how Ranil should conduct the peacetalks, instead of giving in to all demands from the LTTE. Demands are granted only as an exchange to the LTTE demand. If the LTTE really wants peace, then they cannot say: This is not negotiable, otherwise the government will say the same. The world is watching the events in Srilanka, the LTTE cannot just return to war like after earlier peacetalks, without facing any consequenses from the wordcommunity. |

Whatever we may feel about separatism, autonomy, self-determination or federalism, we should be united in our rejection of an entity which keeps human beings chained in |
underground prisons, condemns children to military slavery and engages in human sacrifices to a God-Leader. A state run by such an entity would be the ultimate nightmare, the playground and the breeding ground of the subhuman and the barbaric. It will be a bestial state led by a demonic and bloodthirsty Leader-God, a state which represents a clear regression from all norms of civilization, a state which is an affront to humanity. |

The President had promised to use her executive powers to de-merge the North and East province soon and to rename it as two provinces. Finaly a proposal to put forward to the LTTE. If you want your IA then have it in the areas under your control, but not the whole NE province. So it legalizes only the LTTE rule in Vanni. The government does not loose anything and the Tigers dont win anything. They will be responsible to rebuild the Vanni and the government can focus on areas in the NE under its control. It will be like a competition. |

Fourteen LTTE crafts were sighted by troops in the general lagoon area of KILALY while they were moving around the south of KILALY Naval Detachment. Analysts here believe that the dreaded militants are slowly but surely preparing for the next round of `Eelam war' it is just a matter of time for the war to break out, the LTTE may wait for monsoon before thinking of an offensive. Present strategy, organize rallies which lead to clashes with the SLA, to bring the puplic opionion against the security forces. Dear Sir, |
I regret that the LTTE have pulled out of the talks to held in Japan. Even at this stage I urge them to attend the talks, for the good of all our people and the Country. Failure to dialogue would raise questions as to the sincerity of the LTTE both in Sri Lanka and Internationally. All our people are hungring for peace and the LTTE now has to show that they are fully commited to peace by returning to the talks. I fully support the peace process and i do believe that it is the way forward. |

| I was shocked by what the spokesperson for Jathika Sangha Sammelanaya said (appeared in Daily Mirror and Island of 5-6-2003). JSS has utter disregard and disrespect for the PM and President elected by democratic process, and intends overthrowing both the PM and President by military means. Thia is high treason and members of JSS who appear like Bhikkus have subversive intentions and pronouncements. For the sake of JUSTICE and PEACE, I suggest that GOSL investigate or investigate with the help of Scotland Yard and bring charges for treason against the "Bhikkus". |

The constitution of SL states that Buddhism (Dhamma) should be given its " Rightful place".The principles of Buddhism encompass kindness, tolerance, goodness, love, reconciliation and PEACE - even with animals. Since 1958 NOT buddhism BUT Bhikkus were given a "place", eventhough, most of them blatantly violated the principles of Buddhism pronouncing and propagating anger, hatred, bitterness, violence, murder and war against Tamils. Thus all governments since 1958 are guilty of the offence of permitting this criminal and unconstitutional act to happen against Tamils. And now, President of SL wants her people to follow the TEACHINGS of Buddhism (CDN 9-6-03). Good. |

The donor conference is over, the credit for Srilanka will be something around 4.3 billion $. This money is not for free, it has to be paid back in 4 years time and later. But the LTTE will not pay a single dollar back, on the contrary it will plan a taxation of the developpment work done in NE to get the double benefit. Therefore the government has to pay back the loan and the contractors pay a 20% tax to the LTTE. Armitage was right, the LTTE is a terrorist, and fascist organisation, preparing for war, destroying all the |
develoopment work. |

Most of the Ministers (MPs) make their public announcements or speeches only in Singhale. If they are making it for the whole nation would that be in both Singhale & Tamil. If they have problem speaking in Tamil, will they have an official interpreter? During their talk, pause after making each statement for their interpreter to translate into Tamil too. All the Government Servants MUST be BILINGUAL.Would this be implemented immediately to show that Tamil also accepted in the practical united Sri Lanka? |

The arrest of the 3 LTTE killer pistol group in Wellawatta was posible, because of the information of Colombo tamils, opposing an mono etnic Eelam state in the NE, knowing that this state will bring them more problems than benefits. The LTTE propaganda has failed. People realized, that peace is only possible if the LTTE abandon the armed struggle and enter mainstream politics. But by killing political opponents, they likely seem to follow that course. ,They will be more and more betrayed if they try to come to Colombo for their killing missions. But the Fool Prabakaran doesnt realize that. |

The Diffrence between the legal Srilankan police and the LTTE is, that the police arrests LTTE members accused of murder and other crimes. The LTTE abduct police constables just as a ransom to get their members free. The LTTE policy is, to let the criminals free and arrest the police. This can only come from a criminal terrorist organisation. I wonder why the government want to hold discussions with this criminals. Israel vowed to destroy the Hamas, from leader to sympatizer, to end the crimes and suicide attacks on inocent civilians. Maybe Srilanka should do the same to the LTTE. |

Dear Sir, |
I am pleased that the Tokyo Conference was a success. But I am also sad that the LTTE did not attend. their demand for an interim administration prior to the resumtion of talks, does not endear them to the International Community or the SriLankans'. The future of our Country is at stake here and the Country is bigger than the LTTE. All our people both in Sri Lanka and abroad want peace. The LTTE has given a clear indication that it will not resume peace talks unless and until the government jettisons the international community and agrees to treat the ethnic conflict as a purely domestic issue to be settled by the two parties directly. But the LTTE prefers to go back to war and refuses to talk and compromise. War preperations on the ground are progressing, now they are bothered about the "international safty net", which could support the government militarily in case of war. So the strategy is how to start war without involving international comunities. Srilanka prepare for WAR!!! |

Striving for peace is indeed commendable. However, without changing the fundamental causes of the misery, death, and destruction it is doubtful that any effective results can beobtained. Above all the anti-democratic tendencies and actions must be stopped. |

As long as the LTTE continue to be unrelenting towards shedding their terrorist identity, denouncing their idealogies towards secession , laying down their arms and not showing sincerity towards the peace which could only be accomplished through a unification of all ethnicities and a disbanding of the LTTE for what they represent today and all their terrorist involvements, the concept of peace for Sri Lanka will continue to be just that, a concept slightly out of reach and sadly so as the recent turnaround of events after the hostilities subsided has seen a great resugence of tranquility, an intermingling of people. |

They wanted the paramiltiary tamil groups to be disamed, but they recruited pistol groups for assasination. LTTE performs tests with chemical weapons near the front defence line. The ceasefire announced by the tigers came in a time of their weekness. The government foolishly agreed. In the meantime the tigers smugged arms, builded defences, prepared new attacks, recruited new childsoldiers. Armshipments reached Eelam, some destroyed, but the LTTE is ready for war. What about the government? Relaxing on the fake peace cloud will face serious consequences for their stupid trust to the terrorists. Now is the time to plan counterattacks and a new Jayasikuru to end up with the terrorists once for all. Ask India and US for help to save Srilanka, than buying arms from them.

The racial discrimination that was carried out and which resulted in the armed conflict and the war wich all sides fought, had only one objective, to seize power. Now the, process of negotiation, through international mdeiation is another process of seizing power. In all aspect of discrimination, war and negotiation, the beneficiaries have been the politicians, the organized opponent parties and the mediating nations, both in terms of monetarilly and politically. the LTTE said in a statement: "The LTTE was not involved in the deliberations or in the formulation of these declarations. We have not been consulted on the set of propositions and resolutions enunciated in the Tokyo Declaration. The Colombo government, with the active assistance of the facilitator and its international `tactical allies', has formulated this strategic paper to superimpose its own agenda on the LTTE. This is unacceptable to us." Thus it was patently clear that the LTTE wanted "aid without strings attached". In a severe indictment of the international involvement, the LTTE charged Ranil for complicating the peace process. |

The Tigers have to realize that their best hopes of a settlement lie with Wickramesinghe. It was his victory in the 2001 elections that got the peace process going again. He is clearly sympathetic to their demands for power-sharing. He would not have made the offer of an interim administration otherwise. Yet instead, they seem to be hardening their stance, and in doing so imperil any chance of peace. |
As for their demand of a fundamental overhaul of the peace process, it does not make sense. They have undermined the process by refusing to talk directly to the government. |

Now Ranil is in England, hopefully he get defence assurance from there, not to loose the war after 10 days. But he believes he can solve the issue with the LTTE, completely forgotten that he is dealing with terrorist, who are still engaged in killing all their opponents, from Presidents to PMs. |

LTTE supremo Velupillai Pirabhakaran, 48, has the option of a return to war, but as events unfold, it seems as if he would rather see the government break the 18-month-old truce (since December 25, 2001) than do the dirty job himself. Hence, his provocative actions like gun-running on the high seas and frequent recourse to isolated murders, most of them in the heart of government-run territory. He is waiting for Ranil to blink first |

| Dear Sir, |
| I, am, sad to note that the LTTE have suspended negotiations. Though their is a ceasefire the lack of negotiations makes it volatile and creates uncertianty in the minds of the people both in the North and in the South. We must not play into the hands of those parties that are opposed to the peace process. Therefore, in the interest of all our fellow countrymen, the LTTE must return to the Negotiations and place on the table their concerns instead of suspending the talks. We owe it to all our people for the peace process to work. |

An interim administration with a standing Army and a standing Navy? How can any sovereign state give an interim administration and allow it to be dominated by the LTTE, as they want it? The whole world knows the LTTE has a standing Army and standing Navy. So if we give an interim administration, the LTTE is going to have a legal Army and Navy. -The LTTE men from the group's 'political' office in Kallady that was set up under the MoU, but in fact manned largely by persons from the intelligence wing planning killing of political opponents. LTTE's political work? |
